Two Wheeled Droid
Designed by Adam Savage and Bill Doran, as soon as I saw this droid model I wanted to make one for myself. It features around 30 components and uses M4 screws to secure everything together.
I printed mine in the traditional red and what colours of the rebel alliance, wiith the mechanical parts being either black or grey.
Most of the parts are made from matte PLA. The eye is made from clear PETG and the tyres are made from TPU. The wire in the antenna is 1.5mm aluminium wire.
Upcoming Improvements:
Currently this is just a raw print and I think that it can be improved. I want to sand, prime and paint the parts to give them a much more realistic finish. I also need stronger springs in the suspension to help it support its own weight better. Finally, I want to add exposed wiring around the engine parts to make them appear functional.
