Mando's IB-94
This started out as a toy I bought on Amazon. I started by sanding off all of the logos and embossing, I also hollowed out the barrel using a rotary tool. I then keyed it, primed it and spray painted it.
The silver and brass are hand painted. The grain effect on the handle was achieved by painting in the same direction, with wavy brush strokes, in multiple shades of brown.
I then weathered by dry brushing the exposed metal and gave it with a brown, dark brown and black acrylic wash. I opted for heavy scratching and weathering on this model.
In future I would be more selective with the dry brushing as some parts it is slightly too heavy.
